Ambassador Mahir Aliyev met with the Minister of Climate Change and Environment of the UAE, Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri.

On April 14, 2022, Ambassador Mahir Aliyev met with the Minister of Climate Change and Environment of the UAE, Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri.

During the meeting, consent was expressed with the development of existing cooperation between the two friendly countries. Sides exchanged views on cooperation opportunities in the fields of ecology, food security and agriculture. M. Aliyev gave detailed information about the investment opportunities of our country.

Ambassador mentioned about the liberation of Azerbaijani territories and gave detailed information to his interlocutor about destructions in those areas, destruction of cultural, historical and religious monuments, natural reserves, looting of natural resources and damage to the environment

Noting that our liberated territories are rich in natural and mineral resources, have fertile conditions for agriculture and large water resources, Ambassador Mahir Aliyev highlighted that the extensive reconstruction work is being carried out in these areas under the direct supervision of President Ilham Aliyev.

At the meeting, it was agreed to discuss opportunities for cooperation between the relevant institutions of the two countries and to prepare draft agreements on cooperation.
